So I completed this awhile ago on facebook but thought that it would be as equally appropriate on this website to give you all some insight into my "quirkiness!"
1. When I was in kindergarten, my family and I went to Spokane, Washington to visit my great grandfather. While there, we were doing yard work for him and my aunt was using electric clipper things and my job was to pick up the clippings. I got my little hand in there too soon and my middle finger on my right hand got cut badly. On the way to the ER for stitches, in the car I shouted over and over, "why me? Why not you mom? Why me?"
2. I have been told by many people that I wear all of my expressions on my face, so if I am judging you, you won't need to ask.
3. My junior year of college I chose to be confirmed into the Catholic Church. I felt drawn to the tradition and mysticism of the Eucharist. While I have many great disappointments with the choices of the "church" as a formal entity, I still wholeheartedly believe in the basic tenets of Catholicism and miss living a more spiritual lifestyle.
4. My first real word was "cheese." I would pound on the fridge as a little baby and shout "cheese, cheese!"
5. I am addicted to reality television to the point where I have dreams and wake up the next morning racking my brain about where I knew the person in the dream from. Was it high school, college, do I know them now? Oh wait...it was from The Hills...
6. I half believe in prophetic dreams and that I had one while studying abroad in Spain. I dreamt that I was watching two planes crash into a building live on television and remember waking up and thinking how strange it was to watch a live plane crash on television, how could anyone catch that on camera? I had this dream two nights in a row and it disturbed me to the point that I told my friends about it both days. Two months later, 9-11 occurred. It's my superpower...I can predict terrorism...I should work with the government and they should pay me handsomely.
7. Helping people is a nice byproduct of being a therapist...I really just like all the gossip
8. It drives me nuts and I judge people who don't know the difference between homophones like "there, their and they're" or "two, to and too."
9. I love creating things. I like taking materials that are essentially nothing and making something for others...knitting, specialized cakes, scrapbooking.
10. I always wanted a brother or a sister. I sometimes feel that I missed out on a piece of life that most around me had the opportunity to experience: knowing someone since birth that has gone through everything with you.
11. I refuse to spell check emails to friends or to even go back and delete typos...I feel like, you are my friend, you know I’m not stupid, you can get from context what I am trying to say, deal with it...plus I’m lazy.
12. When I was in high school, I rowed on a crew team...I went to the Jr. National regatta in doubles...my partner was over 6' tall...I’m 5'5", we looked really silly, but it was the best time ever. I was recruited for Villanova, but quit less than a month into the season my freshman year for a "social life" I regret it now
13. I think the world would be a happier place is people regularly bedazzled their belongings...
14. My entire life my mom told me that I was always in a hurry to grow up and of course, I didn't believe her...it wasn't until a couple of months ago that I realized she was right and vowed to just slow down and enjoy the part of life that I am in at the moment.
15. I think that everything tastes better with ranch...except, surprisingly, cool ranch Doritos.
16. my first real memory is when I was four or five and my parents took me and my older cousin to Disneyland in Cali and they went to Knoxberry Farm (with the peanuts characters) but I didn't know and they told me it was the Peanut Farm, so I refused to go.
17. This past September, I walked 60 miles in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3 day walk after raising $2200 for the cause. It was by far, the most incredible experience of my life. I felt truly a part of something larger than myself...it was one of two times in my life that I cried tears of joy
18. I studied Spanish all throughout middle and high school and the first two years of college...even studied abroad in Spain for a summer (incredible) but then during my sophomore year, classes went from learning the language to literature and history taught in Spanish and I would get mini-panic attacks before each course, so I dropped the major altogether
19. I secretly (although not too secret anymore) wish I could do something to break the law like rob a bank to feel that rush that likely comes with being somewhat antisocial, to just break a rule and not care about the consequences at all...
20. At least once a week, I second-guess my own sanity...
21. I love my weagle (half wiener, half beagle) dog Oscar, even though he has a stinky heiny...I suspect that is how I will feel about my children someday
22. I feel instantly comforted when meeting new people if they employ casual physical contact such as touching my arm with their hand...I view these people as more personable
23. My first summer here, I was at home alone and discovered a tick on my side....I had to get in the car and drive myself to the bar where my friend was working to have her take it out for me...as soon as she took it out of my side...I started crying and then had a free beer.
24. My Achilles heel is captain Morgan and diet coke...if you feed me those, I become a kleptomaniac...
25. I sucked my thumb until I was 7 or 8...then I went to camp one summer and was shamed out of that self-soothing coping skill...I still however, have a pillow that I rub whenever I am at home and when I sleep...it looks like a sack of worms now, but it's mine and I love it

Hi! I started a new blog to document my weight loss journey. Since I want to be brutally honest, I've kept it anonymous - therefore can't invite my friends to read it. I'm looking for some followers so I have a little support in this. Check out my blog if you'd like! :)
